Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland, a country in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, with a population of 578,970. It has a mix of traditional Art Deco architecture and modern buildings, and one of the most famous Scottish Art Deco designers came from this city, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and many of the buildings reflect his innovation. It also has the largest museum and art gallery in the UK outside London.
It has the third oldest underground train system in the world, after the London Underground and the Budapest Metro, and many innovative minds went to university in the city, such as John Logie Baird and Alexander Graham Bell, who invented the first television, and the first telephone, respectively.
Anyway, getting on to the good stuff, here are some pics of Glasgow.
