The invasion of Malquidious and his armies of living dead spread plague and death on your people, that now hope for an era of peace.
After fulfiling your duties in war, all you want is to go back to the village where you were born, in the far lands to the north. But the view couldn't be worse: nobody's in your town, except for Brann, the old drunk which is badly wounded. After taking care of him, he tells you that the townsfolk were kidnapped by fleeing followers of Malquidious and remain hidden in the forbidden cave to the north.
The royal armies will never be able to make it in time, that's for sure. It looks like fate has put the sword in your way once more. May the gods give you strength for the battle to come...
