Buying PSP

Hey, was wondering if you could help me maybe what kind of PSP should i buy?
As far as im aware of, there is a normal PSP which is hackable and psp 3000 which is not right?

Also if there is any other useful data i should consider please mention them below

anything under psp3000 is hackable using a pandora battery and a magic card (card requires a modded psp to make)
older slims are good and quite cheap these days
other then that there is not much to worry about apart from if its pre owned check wifi and power switch work and that it reads memory cards (my mate got 1 and it wouldnt pick memory card up)
