Hi Guys

i couldn't find any threads about this, so i thought i just wirte a short how-to for debranding your wm5 device. Maybe it works also on wm6, i diddnt try.

First of all save all your important data from your device on your pc or elsewhere, because everything will be deleted on your mobile device.
then :
1) do a hard reset - for example on a htc prophet it's like this :
hold pressing cam and com button and while holding them press the reset button.
2)you see "send" on your display. now press the send button (green button with telephone on it for making calls)
3)your device will start up and just before it begins to install the software of your service provider (Extended ROM) do a soft reset and let your device restart
now it will start up again but not install anything. now you have an unbranded device.

have fun, try it

if you want to put on the branding software, just do again a hard reset, but this time wait and lett install the service provider software

this is also possible at a t-mobile brand device of winmobile 2003(SE)
