Here is my 1st contribution..

This is a free update from O2 for O2 Atom Life.

1. Charge your PDA until 100% full.

2. Connect your PDA to PC/Notebook with ActiveSync. ActiveSync must be in status "Connected" before you can proceed to upgrade.

3. Save the downloaded file and run it. It will automatically extract its contents.



4. After this, your PDA will automatically turn into bootloader mode and your PC/Notebook will automatically install a driver to recognize the USB device. This may take a few minutes. When ready, just click Next and let the program retrieve an information from your PDA. Just click Upgrade to execute the process. This may take around 10 minutes.




5. Once finished, DSUU will try to flash the Ext ROM. You need to wait for it. It may take 3 minutes or less to initiate the process. It seems like nothing is happened but be patient. Do not touch anything or unplug the USB cable. Just wait.



6. After Ext ROM, the program will flash a Radio ROM. Same as Ext ROM, you need to wait around 3 minutes to let the program do initializing to flash it.



7. Once completed, you may see this screen. Just let it booting as normal and now your Atom Life run Windows Mobile 6.0

great share cant wait until WM 6 comes out for my 8525

There is a lot of unofficial upgrade for Cingular 8525 to Windows Mobile 6... sure you can find it... tried with my Dopod 838Pro and it works...
