Chao Legions PC-Rip

Capcom has once again ported a lackluster console game to the PC. While we may never know why the company chooses not to port its

better games, we do know that Chaos Legion is still a repetitive and bland hack-and-slash game on the PC, just as it was on the

PlayStation 2.

In the game, you play as a knight named Sieg Warheit, who is tasked with stopping a man named Victor Delacroix from collecting powerful

magical artifacts. The two men and these artifacts are linked by past events; Sieg killed Delacroix's lover, and now Delacroix is hoping to

use these magical artifacts to bring his beloved back to life, even if it means causing wanton destruction along the way. The game uses

cutscenes between missions to advance the plot, but the silly dialogue and convoluted scene direction make following the story more

difficult than it needs to be. The cutscenes include decent but unremarkable voice acting, much like the music and other sound in the

game.

Crazy Taxi RIP

The original Crazy Taxi from Sega's internal team Hitmaker was released in arcades in 1999, and it was subsequently ported to Sega's

Dreamcast video game console in 2000. Both versions of the game were simple, fun racing games that let you play as a cabbie in search

of fares to transport to their destinations as quickly as possible, performing as many dangerous stunts (like narrowly scraping past

oncoming cars) as possible to earn extra tips from your impatient, thrill-seeking passengers. Hitmaker went on to create two console

follow-ups, the most recent of which is Crazy Taxi 3 for the Xbox. Yet, for some reason, the very first Crazy Taxi game has just now been

ported to the PC, but considering how the port turned out, it probably shouldn't have been.

TWISTED METAL 2 RIP

After choosing one of 12 deviant cars, you drive it from your raised chase-car perspective through mostly uninspired arenas, picking up health, napalm, and other assorted weapons of mass destruction in hopes of being the last one standing. Racing around the area, you try to pick off the other contestants before they take you out of the game. As a nice little sadistic sidelight: Scattered throughout are the poorly rendered unprotected groupie, skateboarder, and other assorted out-of-place pedestrians that you can run over (well you don't really run them over, it's more like you push them for a few hundred feet before they disappear from the screen).

Emperor Rise of the Middle Kingdom

Each entry in Impressions’ city-building series has been an incremental upgrade to the previous one. The series improved dramatically with Pharaoh, the first game to leave the Roman confines of the Caesar games. The series improved even more significantly with Zeus, which added more-creative mission goals and downplayed the military element, which had previously been a problem with the series because of the cumbersome combat interface. Zeus had a few of its own problems, but it introduced so many great ideas and features to the series that it seemed like a promise of even greater things to come. Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom breaks this promise. Instead of improving on Zeus, Emperor plays it safe by returning to the earlier games in the series. Developed not by Impressions but by BreakAway Games (whose previous work includes the Cleopatra expansion for Pharaoh), Emperor is much like Pharaoh, with a few of Zeus’ additions thrown in for good measure. Though it includes some improvements of its own, it also brings back a few frustrating issues from earlier games. And some of these problems–such as the combat interface and the aimless wandering of your workers–aren’t as easily overlooked as they once were.

Rice is one of the new agricultural commodities. It’s not a major criticism to say that Emperor plays much like its predecessors. Impressions’ city-building games have always been formulaic, but it’s a solid and addictive formula. With the last three city-building games, most of the major changes have been cosmetic. The gods, buildings, and commodities available are specific to the setting, but the basic gameplay remains almost identical. You lay down residential areas, set up trade with other cities, provide food and commodities for your residents, and occasionally fight to defend your city or send your troops out to conquer another.

Emperor follows this formula to the letter, though instead of being in ancient Rome, Egypt, or Greece, you are now in ancient China. The mission goals in Emperor return to the basic quantitative goals of Caesar III and Pharaoh. You’ll be required to produce a certain quantity of a commodity in a year, save up an amount of money, conquer a number of cities, or reach a target population. Occasionally you will be required to build a monument, but these monuments are goals in and of themselves and don’t bestow any benefit to your city apart from satisfying an objective.

"X-Blades" offers action-packed enjoyment in fantastic Hack-and-Slash style. Using various weapons, spells and tactics, the player must fight his way through many indoor and outdoor levels, killing hordes of monsters on the way. The story, exciting and rich in variety with numerous cutscenes not only motivates the player, it also cleverly interlinks the individual levels. Besides the ‘normal’ monsters, there are also "Monster Generators", which ceaselessly create new creatures (and of course powerful Boss opponents) for the game world. Hidden Power-ups and coins ensure that the player is rewarded for exploring a level. Some locations can only be reached by bold and daring leap/jump combinations.
The player will only achieve success in the game if he makes use of the extensive system for the further development of the heroine Ayumi - Experience Points earned, for example, must be converted to Skills. There are various Power-ups available to help the player as well, like combat techniques, magic, weapon enhancement and teleportation and the right mix will lead to success. Apart from that, the use of skills on the "good or bad side" also affects the finale. Depending on player actions, two different game endings await the heroine Ayumi - and that in itself is a hook for players.

Arctic Racer is an arcade stunt car racing game, quite unusual for its unique arctic scenery and very 3D racing style with high hills, long jumps etc.In the game the player drives an ultra-modern vehicle with additional rocket engine.

In the late XXI century a new type of extreme sport evolved with the fast technological progress in car engineering. The development of car-mounted rocket engines and strong but thin carbon fibre armour gave the possibility of extraordinary car acrobatics with lower risk of getting injured in a car crash.
As always there are people who love adrenaline and maximize the risk, a new, dangerous sport has developed: monster car driving in an arctic scenery.
The more extraordinary, weird and challenging the track, the more attractive it is to the arctic racing maniacs.
How many routes are you able to finish in time, not falling into the water? Beware! It is easy to get addicted to this sport!
