Some people have too much time on their hands - and that’s a good thing. An intrepid FCC document-surfer over at Treo Central has uncovered email back-and-forths between the FCC and Palm. The documents seem to hint at a GSM variant of the Palm Centro (codenamed Gryphon/Gandalf) headed to AT&T as the Palm Centro 685 (Sprint’s Palm Centro goes by the model number “690″).
