IOGEAR's Bluetooth Audio Transport with SRS WOW enhanced sound
SRS Labs’ is known for their sound enhancing SRS WOW technology found in many portable music players. So, what are they doing in the mobile space? Well, it seems that SRS Labs’ SRS WOW HD sound enhancing technology has piqued the interest of electronic gear-maker IOGEAR. The pair has teamed up to bring SRS WOW HD to the new IOGEAR Bluetooth Audio Transport - the perfect match to stream music from your Bluetooth-enabled phone.
The IOGEAR Bluetooth Audio Transport is basically an audio gateway that promises to “dramatically improve the audio performance of content played on any Bluetooth-enabled audio device.” Streaming Bluetooth audio from your mobile phone is picked up by the IOGEAR Bluetooth Audio Transport, cleaned up with SRS technology, and pushed to your headphones/earphones. There’s even a microphone on the Bluetooth Audio Transport for when you want to have a crystal-clear sounding phone conversation.
IOGEAR’s Bluetooth Audio Transport with SRS WOW HD sound-enhancement will run you about $80 from your favorite electronics retailer. Availability - now.
Now, if only our iPhone had Bluetooth audio capabilities. Hmmmm, maybe there’s an [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] that might enable such a feature.

USB connector cellphone strap - the most useful strap ever
Now I don’t whether you use cellphone straps or not, but if you own one of the supported (by this strap - read on for explanation) BlackBerry or HTC devices you may want to get yourself this useful cellphone strap. Yeah, I said it’s useful and it’s a strap. The idea behind this accessory is to allow you to have your data and charging cable always with you. The tiny box in the strap hides both standard and mini USB port enabling you to suck power of any computer with the USB port while on-the-go. Now I wonder why this isn’t included in retail boxes with all the phones. It’s cool, useful and costs only $11.95! You can get more information and buy this strap from [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...].

Bluetooth headset removed from the Sony Ericsson W960i sales package?
When the [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] was first officially announced, Sony Ericsson also stated that it will include a Bluetooth Headset together with a stereo handsfree wired headset.
Now, according to the[Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...][Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] we have from the Sony Ericsson Developer World website, the Swedish-Japanese handset maker will remove the Bluetooth headset from the W960i sales package.
I’m not sure whether to classify this as a good or a bad news. On one hand it’s a shame we won’t get the Bluetooth headset with the Walkman phone. On the other hand, removal of the Bluetooth handset from the package should make the W960i more affordable. Not to forget that many of us already have Bluetooth headsets and that we actually don’t need another pair.
We’ve still no official confirmation from Sony Ericsson, but in the meantime I’m curious to hear what you folks think about it. Like it or not?

Bluetrek SENSE Bluetooth headset - the touch-sensitive headset
Clean lines, minimalist design, piano-black finish. What more could you ask for in a Bluetooth headset? Well, how about button-free, touch-sensitivity? Bluetrek has announced a new headset that’s not only inconspicuous but also high-tech - the Bluetrek SENSE Bluetooth headset. The fashion-forward Bluetrek SENSE Bluetooth headset is just 5cm long and weighs in at 8g, but packs in a dual-color LED display, voice-guided operation (the headset gives audible confirmation of the selected feature), 4 hour talk-time and 5 day stand-by time, and features a touch-sensitive main-button (well, a non-button, really). The headset can be worn with the slim ear-hook or without - ensuring that anyone can get a secure fit.
The slightly mirrored, piano-black finish and smooth, unmarred surface is at once beautifully elegant and incredibly stealthy - it may go unnoticed, but we wouldn’t mind if anyone were to spot the artful Bluetrek SENSE on our ears. And the touch-sensitive controls are just icing on the cake. Bluetooth headset manufacturers are starting to realize that smaller and inconspicuous is better than bigger and flashy when it comes to headsets, and the Bluetrek SENSE embodies that design philosophy whole-heartedly.
Expect this beauty to hit the market early next year for £49.99 (about $103).
Hit the link for full tech-specs.
Technical Specifications:- Talk Time: Up to 4 hours
- Standby time: Up to 5 days
- Weight: about 8 grams
- Size: 50 mm (L) x 15mm (W)
- Operation range: Up to 10 metres
- Voice Alert: A pre-recorded voice alerts users to low battery levels and missed calls and also confirms your choice of function such as connecting or disconnecting your headset, redialling your last number, rejecting a call or contacting favourite numbers
- Bluetooth Specification: V1.2

Let’s say you got one of those Hello Kitty [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...][Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Yes, your wait is over — now you can have both your phone and your headset singing along. No, we don’t know the price nor availability info. Actually, I’m not sure most of our readers actually care…

Weird Kewpie Doll cellphone straps
It’s weekend, hence I find it’s safe to show you what kind of straps exist in the “outer world.” Let’s say you find the Japanese rope bandaged babies above look cool, you should: a) visit a doctor (seriously); b) start thoroughly analyzing yourself. Just kidding, you need a professional help.
Anyway, the Kewpie Doll retails for $5.69 at [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] and comes with pink, purple, black, blue or red straps. If you’re in Japan, I guess it’s ok to have a strap like this one. For the rest of the world… hmm… tricky…

A mobile phone with a hidden Bluetooth headset
While the phone on the image above DOES look like “yet another Chinese phone” — it’s the look of the menu items at the bottom of the screen that tells us so — actually it’s not true. The main idea behind this device called Star NX788 is to assure that users NEVER forget their Bluetooth headset at home or at work. And how the designer of this phone managed to do that — simply by placing a small compartment for the Bluetooth headset on the phone’s body. The result is quite interesting device that basically hides the Bluetooth headset.
As for the specs, the Star NX788 comes with a dual-band GSM radio, stereo Bluetooth support (A2DP), 2.6″ QVGA touchscreen, 1.3 MP camera, and of course the microSD expansion slot. Finally, let’s talk about the size — the phone measures 114×50x18 mm and has a weight of 110 grams.
Nice move folks. I would expect other handset makers to do the same — it’s just so practical… Check out one more image which shows the mentioned hidden compartment along with the Bluetooth headset.

Samsung Bang&Olufsen Symphony/Serenata F310 gets a case from Louis Vuitton
A device like the [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] isn’t something you should carry unprotected, even if you have tons of money — and you probably do in case you bought one. You need a case, not “yet another case” but something special. Something designed by no other company but the masters of fashion bags - Louis Vuitton.
Yap, the French company has prepared the special Samsung B&O Symphony F310 Louis Vuitton designer leather case, which is made from “natural calfskin with a perfect surface dyed with special vegetative essences.” Sounds safe enough to me.
And by the way, it’s for market of Russia where Samsung is selling the Serenata F310 as Symphony F310…

NTT DoCoMo Sound Leaf + Bluetooth headset with bone conduction speaker
When we talk about [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...], we’re usually referring to the [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] of the conversation ([Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...], anyone?)- bone conduction helps eliminate background chatter and noise to give your listener a clearer sound. Well, this Bluetooth headset (in the loosest of terms, since you can’t actually wear this thing on your ear) from NTT DoCoMo rocks bone conduction technology on the receiver-end of the device - that means you’ll be able to hear the person on the other end clearly, even in the noisiest of environments.
The NTT DoCoMo Sound Leaf + bone conducting headset connects to your phone via Bluetooth and delivers sound-vibrations directly to your inner ear. There’s no need for a speaker, since the convo is vibrated right into your ear, but there are two microphones on the little flip - one of the directional variety and one regular microphone. The dual-microphone setup should help isolate your voice and cut down on background chatter, which you’ll probably need if you’re in an environment that’s so loud that you need bone conduction technology to hear the conversation. Oh, and bone conduction should give the hard-of-hearing a pretty cool (if geeky-looking) way to keep in touch with friends and family.
Anyway, the NTT DoCoMo Sound Leaf isn’t likely to hit our Yankee shores without some clever importing, so keep on drooling over yet another cool Japanese-only gadget that you’ll never get your hands on.
