In addition, people are speculating we’ll also see the new low-to-mid range Walkman phone - W380i, which will reportedly supersede the W300i model.
Finally, let’s not forget the already spotted [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...], successor to the popular M600i, and also a new addition to SE’s “P” series - P3i or P5i, even though the latter is highly improbable to happen, but who knows. Stay tuned…

Again and again we see Sony Ericsson pushing its devices through FCC, even though most of them don’t end up selling in the States. This time they went one step further by allowing the Federal Communications Commission to check out their recently unveiled 5.1 MP camera equipped [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...]model, giving us a slight of hope we’ll see this device released outside of Japan. And while it’s that not likely to happen, we still can dream…
Why oh why, don’t you release such devices in the Western hemisphere dear Sony Ericsson? We want them sooo bad…

Here are some more live pics of the [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...], [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. But, as a Walkman Phone, the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack and necessary headphone adaptor is really confusing. To reiterate what Stefan already clearly [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] - shouldn’t a music-centric device come with a regular headphone jack?
Anyway, keep reading for more pics of the Silver Sony Ericsson W890i.

Sony Ericsson fans in UK will have to wait for the W960i till January 2008
While the rest of the world, excluding the U.S. I guess, will get a chance to try out the latest Sony Ericsson’s Walkman smartphone[Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] this Christmas, mobile users of UK will have to wait a little bit longer. According to the Swedish-Japanese handset maker, it’s the Christmas season’s crowded mobile phones market people of UK should “thank” to. Guess Sony Ericsson wants to make their flagship phone stand out from the crowd, and that’s not that easy to happen with the Nokia N95 8GB and the iPhone coming this Christmas as well. It’s kinda shame, though I guess you’ll be able to get it from some other EU country unlocked and take it from there.

Sony Ericsson hooks up with Diesels; Set to launch Z320 Fifty Five DSL edition
Everyone’s partnering with fashion brands nowadays — we have Samsung Armani and LG Prada phones — so why would Sony Ericsson be any different? They are different - for a start they’ve decided to go with the brand popular among the youth - Diesel.
Together, the two companies will be releasing the Z320 Fifty Five DSL edition phone, which comes with some grayish geometric camouflage pattern and of course the Diesel logo…

First of all I think the original [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] looks cool enough. But not for all people apparently, as we’ve just spotted the modded version which has some tattoo-like painting on the back. I’m not sure you can change the cover of the K850i, hence I don’t how the person behind this device managed to do this. Maybe it’s a paint job? Guess we’ll never know — but the fact stays it looks very cool… Now that I’m thinking, I can easily envision these kind of customized handsets selling like cupcakes being offered free of charge to the world’s celebrities…

Orange recalls the first shipment of Sony Ericsson W910i phones?
Softpadia is [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] that the France Telecom owned mobile operator is recalling the first shipment of [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] phones.
Orange customers are experiencing problems with their newly bought Sony Ericsson W910i phones. Apparently, the device has some serious problems with the basic phone functionality which results in switching off after ten seconds and not answering the calls.
Unsatisfied customers are returning them to Orange at a great rate, and the carrier is offering them a new mobile phone instead of the faulty one. Still that doesn’t seem to help, as many of them returned just a few days later complaining that the new device has the same problems.
It would be a shame for Sony Ericsson to blew this off — after all, many people eagerly expected the release of the W910i Walkman and now when it’s available they want the smooth user experience. We’ll see where this goes…

Sony Ericsson P1i awarded by the Swedish magazine Mobil
At the recently held Mobilgalan show organized by the Swedish magazine Mobil, Sony Ericsson’s Symbian UIQ 3 based [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] was awarded by the prestigious award Guldmobilen in the “Smartphone of the Year” category.
Now I don’t want to sound sarcastic, but their [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. The P1i is much better choice, most notably because of the more available RAM and overall improved stability.
Anyway, if you want to know more about the award and you understand Swedish, hop over to [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] to read the full article.

J.D. Power ranks Sony Ericsson highest in Customer Satisfaction
With all their proprietary formats and hardware, we wouldn’t have thought that the Sony Ericsson experience would be at the top of the list. But, we would be wrong. J.D. Power has just named Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications as the US and Canadian leader in overall customer satisfaction in terms of handsets. The J.D. Power survey ranking is based on mobile phone features, battery life, physical design, operation and durability among U.S. consumers. It looks like Sony Ericsson’s commitment to the North American market has paid off.
In contrast, the company’s wireless retail experience was ranked “low and eroding” just last month. And, it turns out that Motorola and Samsung ranked above industry-average, while Nokia and LG ranked slightly lower than the average.
Kudos to Sony Ericsson for their “satisfying” handsets. We find it quite odd that LG and Nokia scored lower than average, but hey, it is what it is.
