Thumbs up VITO AudioPlayer updated to version 1.16!

VITO Technology releases a new version of VITO AudioPlayer. This easy-to-use Windows Mobile player runs swiftly and has the basic playback features.

VITO AudioPlayer has become closer to you as now it can be set as a default player. Now it is easier to access the player and play your favorite music with VITO AudioPlayer. Another feature added is that instead of multiple taps for rewinding a song you can just press-and-hold the right or left arrow on joystick to rewind or fast forward the recording.

VITO AudioPlayer has become even more user-friendly as it now pauses during the phone call and continues playing after it's over. Smart enough, isn't it? Besides, while playing audio files it doesn't interrupt when stumbling over files with not supported audio format.
VITO AudioPlayer is available for $ 9.95 at [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...].

VITO Technology Inc. is known for its high-tech products in the field of Windows Mobile and Symbian software, GPS navigation and custom projects. Thumbs up Microsoft getting into the mobile content business by acquiring Musiwave

[Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...]Nokia has a music store, albeit only in the UK right now. Sony Ericsson will be launching Play Now Arena in the first half of next year. Now Microsoft has just purchased Musiwave for an undisclosed sum, giving them a foot in the content delivery business. Musiwave wasn’t a very profitable company, but they did have relationships with over 30 operators world wide. They offer not only full music tracks, but ringbacks, ringtones and anything else a 14 year old would spend their allowance money on to make your life a living hell. Looking at the trend it is becoming increasingly obvious that makers of devices and mobile operating systems have come to the realization that in order to grow they need to expand past their core business models.
Microsoft makes money every time you purchase one of their devices, period. Same can currently be said about Nokia and Sony Ericsson. Changing that paradigm of single point of purchase to continues revenue generator is going to be a dangerous and risky walk across a tight rope. The power of the operators is diminishing, no doubt about that, but they still hold the reins of control.

Thumbs up Asus prepping M930, Windows Mobile Communicator?

Apparently, Taiwan-based Asustek will be launching the Windows Mobile 6 powered Communicator device, M930, somewhere in Q1 2007. According to French site [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...], the upcoming device will have a shape similar to the one of the Nokia Communicator series, sporting two screens - external for basic phone functionality and the bigger internal alongside the full QWERTY keyboard.
As for the specs, we should expect virtually everything - including HSDPA, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, 3.2 MP camera with auto-focus, FM tuner, 256MB of Flash ROM and 180MB of RAM. In addition, the PDA phone will run on Marvel PXA27x 520 MHz CPU and will utilize the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile OS - Windows Mobile 6. Can’t wait to get my hands one…

Get Keys on Keyboard Zoomed with ZoomBoard!
Tapping & sliding for accurate typing

November 22, 2007 - VITO Technology releases much expected ZoomBoard, an onscreen keyboard with zoomed preview for comfortable and accurate typing. You will always type the right letter no matter where you tap on the keyboard as you may slide your finger across the keys and see them through a magnifying glass.
ZoomBoard allows quick and accurate typing on Windows Mobile Pocket PC. Typing with this keyboard is as easy as sliding finger across the screen. When you tap a key there appears a magnifying glass just above the keyboard with a zoomed image of letters. The key highlighted with red in the magnifying glass is ready to type. Slide over the necessary letter until it gets red and release finger to type this letter.
Whatever you type on your Pocket PC ZoomBoard will make this task easier as you can forget the stylus altogether. From now on you can type just by tapping and sliding. SMS chatting on your Pocket PC is going to be a real fun now that you type as quickly as your finger slides! Your typing will become more accurate as well. Tapped a wrong letter? Just slide your finger over the right letter and release it.

Thumbs up McAfee, Symantec release anti-virus apps for Windows Mobile

Just in case you don’t feel secure enough about your Windows Mobile device, two of the leading anti-malware developers has announced their anti-virus and anti-trojan solutions for Windows Mobile platform. As you’ve probably guessed from the title of this post, it’s McAfee and Symantec which have announced VirusScan Mobile and Norton Smartphone Security respectively, with latter also announcing support for Symbian v9 (S60 3rd edition and UIQ 3) based devices — even though we still have to see any serious threat for the Symbian 9 platform.
Anyway, if you crave for additional security - these two apps will certainly help you sleep better (and longer). More information is available on [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Thumbs up VITO RingtoneEditor updated to version 1.2!

November 27, 2007 - VITO Technology releases a new version of VITO RingtoneEditor. VITO RingtoneEditor v1.2 allows you to choose more precisely the start and finish points of the ringtone. BlackJack and MotoQ users now can also enjoy making their own ringtones with RingtoneEditor.

With VITO RingtoneEditor you can easily create as many ringtones as you wish from your favorite music. The slider showing the song progress has become more informative. Thumbs up Windows Mobile - it's a man's world

Not to come off too chauvinistic, but it would appear that it’s a man’s world afterall - at least as far as Windows Mobile is concerned. A study conducted by Microsoft found that only 14.6% of the Windows Mobile users are women, 85.4% of users being of the male persuasion. Could it be Microsoft’s (Windows Mobile’s) penchant for designing their user interface with a priority on function? Windows Mobile devices tend to be more logically and straight-forwardly designed then their fashion-oriented brethren, could it have something to do with the “eye-candy” factor?
Now, before you go off on a tirade about how men and women are created equal, women are just as logical as men, have use for straight-forward designs, and all that jazz, just know that we’re all for women being considered on the same playing field as men. But, the fact remains that women prefer “prettier” colors, sleeker designs, and more attractive user interfaces - is it any wonder that Windows Mobile devices are more appealing to men, while fashion-phones like the [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...]are geared towards the female side?
Windows Mobile had better start thinking more about design and the “eye-candy” factor if it hope to attract more women into using the WinMo platform. Afterall, [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] belong to women.

Thumbs up China Mobile testing an unnamed TD-SCDMA Windows Mobile handset

As far as we know, Chinese 3G network is just around the corner eagerly waiting to be tested during the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing next August. The largest carrier in the country, China Mobile, expects to finish building 3G networks in eight cities by the end of this year and at least 10 more by the time of Olympics.
As part of the its network rollout, China Mobile is testing multiple devices with one of them apparently running Windows Mobile 6. That’s certainly a good news for frequent business travelers to China, who at least from the start won’t be able to use their existing 3G smartphone in the “world’s fastest growing economy.” With the release of the first Windows Mobile devices in the country, they will be able to do their syncing via Chinese 3G network.
Apparently, the upcoming device supports both TD-SCDMA and GSM/GPRS networks, and boasts such things as 2.4″ touchscreen, 3 MP camera and microSD memory slot. The manufacturer is still unknown, but there are some clues pointing to Taiwan’s Inventec Appliances (IAC) and Zhejiang Holley Communications (Holley Comm). We’ll see…
