Help Please Nokia N95 Videos / Movies

Hello,

Ive downlaoded a few movies off this website, some work and some dont. My phone is a standard Nokia N95, the video software i am using to play videos is Real Player.

The problem is, that when i donwload certain videos off here, usually listed as Smart Movie or Avi or Div x, my ohone isnt showing them in the videos folder and i cannot find them on the phone. But the videos i download in MP4 or 3GP format are found in the video folder straight away and seem to work fine.

Can anyone help with this please?

Easy - the standard built in Real Player can't open, play nor see .avi format, that's why u can't find them anywhere - it only plays 3gp, .rm etc.!

To play .avi format on ur phone u have to install Smart Movie

And next time use the proper Section to ask ur questions!

Another recommendation is to use CorePlayer. I think I saw it available for download in the applications thread.

You can also use a video converter.
I use the "All in 1 Mobile Video Converter",
it is really fast (it supports dual core processors) and you can convert nearly
any video format (including .flv files from youtube).
It outputs .3gp and you can fully customize it.
I use the following settings with good results.
for video: 350kbit/s, 30fps, 320x240
for audio: 64kbit, 22050Hz, mono

Agree with all the advices before me
but start with updating your n95 to the
latest version, I have the feeling you
didn't get it. And try smartmovie or
coreplayer, or video converter, as
people said before. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice guys, I downloaded Smart Movie and it works a treat.

Ive also converted about 10 films now ready for upload, but dont know of any free site thats free to upload them to, which ones best to use and free?

Once i get that bit sorted ill add the links on here to download the movies.

Just tested two of them and although the picture quality is pretty good, after watching about 45 mins of the movie, the sound has a delay on it, what i mean is you hear someone say the words then a second later there mouth moves to say the words, if you get me?

Any ideas?

I used the smart movie convertor download (Above).

I have a question and dont wanna open a new thread.

Im search a program for my N95 thats convert mp4 to avi and/or mpg.
I wanna convert the mp4 videos from the cam directly on my handy to avi or mpg.

Exist a Program like that?
