Need help from E61i owner in UK

Hi there !

I recently changed my E61i product code from UK (English/Nederlands) to EURO (English/French/Spanish) in order to allow Nokia Software Updater to change my firmware accordingly.
But after upgrade, my phone's backup (from memory card /Backup/ folder) can't be restored (probably due to incompatibility between firmware). I loose my contacts !!

"Backup.arc" files are proprietary Nokia file format, and there's no way to open it... Moreover, due to Nokia Privacy Policy, they can't help

Of course, no way to downgrade the firmware back to UK...

I'm searching someone owning a E61i UK, and able to restore my Backup.arc on its own phone (after doing a backup of its own!), export contacts using Nokia PC suite, and send it back to me...

That's will really help !

I can even donate some bucks...

I had an e61, got almost same problem.
If you want a good backup, my advice is
to use the Microsoft Office Outlook. Working
good, no problems with synchronizing. In your
case I think the only way is that you speak about, finding someone without the update. Good luck.

This will help you if you have on the backup file contacts.
Just connect your phone,then use Nokia PC Suite (6.82 or newer) to connect the Contact Transfer,select the backup (.arc) file and that will transfer your missing data to your phone!
