Nokia Debuts Series 40 3rd Edition Phone
Nokia last week unveiled the quad-band Nokia 6126 phone at the CTIA Conference in Las Vegas. Featuring a graceful tapered design that averages a mere 17 millimeters from top to bottom, it still manages to deliver a wide range of the most desired mobile features. It includes a crisp 240 x 320-pixel display, 1.3-megapixel digital camera, and digital music player. The Series 40 3rd Edition user interface builds on the intuitive menu structure that has made Series 40 mobile devices from Nokia best-sellers around the world. It also adds Active Standby Mode, a feature that lets the idle screen keep owners informed of calendar and to-do items and provides quick access to the most-used applications. The Nokia 6126 phone is expected to become available in North American markets during the second quarter of 2006.
