Codemasters hoping to create "many different games" with the famed writer.
Codemasters is hoping its new relationship with writer Clive Barker will continue once development has finished on horror FPS Jericho, possibly producing a range of titles under the Barker name, rather like Ubisoft's Tom Clancy series.
Speaking exclusively to IGN, Jericho producer Joe Falke noted that Barker has a "massive back catalogue of stuff" that could be used to create videogames and that the author "wants to extend his reach to new audiences".
According to Falke, Barker is extremely interested in the games medium and Codemasters is "looking at Clive Barker as a potential source of many different games and not just horror titles". He then added: "Not a lot of people know that he also writes a lot of fantasy stories - not elves and goblins stuff - and this could certainly be used for something. We could produce a 'Clive Barker' range of games, like Ubisoft does with Tom Clancy."
