(59% OF BRITISH ASIAN’S PREFER TO LIVE IN SIN!)

The largest ever survey into British Asian relationships and finding a partner to marry has revealed that 45% of British Asians would consider marrying outside their race in-order to find the perfect partner. This includes 61% of Muslim women and 39% of Hindu Women.

The survey conducted by the National British Asian Wedding Exhibition (19th-20th Feb) over a four week period had over 3000 respondents taking part in the poll on its web site [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...]. It also revealed that the arranged marriage institution is still favoured by 70% of the British Asian community. The controversial Dowry practice seems to no longer play a major role in the Asian community, with only 15% believing that it still has a place in today’s British Asian society!

Yogesh Kanani Managing Director of the Asian Wedding Exhibition who carried out the research says: “This is the largest survey/poll of its kind and will now be carried out every year so that we can all understand the ever changing BA attitudes to finding new partners. The survey shows that British Asian’s are looking at possible partners from other castes, races and religions. Our communities still wish to keep its traditions but are also adapting ways of finding new love and breaking free from stereotypical attitudes to getting married. As revealed by 59% of respondents would prefer to cohabit before getting married.
