Default TUTORIAL:How to turn ur N73 into N73 Internet Edition (music edition features + more)

The Nokia N73 Internet Edition Firmware 3.0638.0.0.43 update is now available. The [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] Internet Edition was only announced in Taiwan and Hong Kong, but anyone with the N73 can change their firmware to take advantage of the new firmware’s features by tricking [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...]. How is the Internet Edition different from the recently released Music Edition? Find out now as well as the instructions on how to update your Nokia N73 firmware.
The [Only Registered and Activated Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register...] Internet Edition contains all of the features of the Music Edition, but the multimedia key in the Music Edition goes straight to the music player. The Internet Edition retains the function of the original multimedia key where you can configure your own shortcuts to applications. They also included Windows Live Messenger and a few shortcuts to popular websites in the Internet folder. Otherwise, same as the Music Edition.

  1. Connect your phone and wait for Windows to install the drivers.
  2. Open Nemesis Service Suite and click “Scan for new device” on the right-upper part of the window
  3. Click on the icon “Phone info”
  4. Click on “Scan”
  5. UPDATE Change the product code to
0539366 (Hong Kong’s language pack: English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese)
0539364 (Taiwan’s language pack: English + Traditional Chinese)
0539295 (Arabic, French, English) (People say it is ME edition)
0539269 (Swedish, Norwegian, English) (People say it is ME edition)
  6. Mark the case “Enable”.
  7. Press “Write”, and your phone’s product code will be changed (you might think that nothing happened, because the phone is still in normal mode, and the changing of the product code only takes a couple of seconds, but don’t worry, the product code changed !).
  8. Close Nemesis Service Suite and run the Nokia Software Update.
  9. Make sure not to touch the cable or the phone while your phone is updating or else you will break it!
  10. That’s it! When you restart your phone, it should now be the Nokia N73 Internet Edition!

I'll help a friend update his...Thanks for the trick!

Stupid question:

If I backup his phone using pc suite...then I update...and then I restore...

Will the firmware change back from the internet edition to the normal one?

---Edit---

Where do u get the nemesis service suite?

Stupid answer : Nope bro, the firmware will not go back to normal edition because of the phone code changes! But it is better to back up the phone memory on ur MMC! For all that and for the Nemesis service suite read my Tutorial on how to turn N73 in N73 ME....this is the first step, then u go for that one!

Ok..I've read the other post clearly...

The prob is that he wants to change memory card..(upgrade from a 512 to a 1gb one)
So I have to backup the 512mb using pc suite and then update the firmware and then restore the 512mb stuffs to the 1gb.

I hope nothin goes wrong..

And what if it disconects while updating the phone?
is it entirely RUINED?
I'm afraid as it's not my mob!

Well the phone memory takes all about 1.5 to 3 MB at max!
About the disconnecting - i dunno if the phone really crashes, but it's better not to disconnect while upgrading, don't u agree?
