Cool [12.08.07] Donald Duck Quest 2 J2me All Versions

Donald Duck Quest 2 J2me All Versions

Thanx to @zeatwork

Donald Duck returns for another round of head cracking, mind boggling, and migraine inducing puzzles. The story goes that Scrooge and the boys, Huey, Dewey and Louie are in trouble, and Donald must rescue them from the evil Magica de Spell. And no, as mentioned earlier, this isn’t an action game, though it might have made a good one, its really a puzzle game

Gameplay is very simple to understand, with a fully loaded and long winded to tutorial to slowly introduce to each new game mechanic. But understanding is not mastering the puzzles. As a matter of fact, the first few levels were so easy it was a breeze to run through. Come level 8 I started scratching my head already, and the game has a whooping 60 levels to complete! To add to gameplay value, completing the game gives you codes, which you can use to play yet more levels on a flash website! But I digress, firstly, lets talk about the gameplay of Donald Duck’s Quest 2. The concept is simply. Donald Duck starts at a predetermined position, and you must then lay arrows down on his path, and he will then follow those arrows, to rescue his nephews and Scrooge. Sounds easy? It isn’t. For each level there are different obstacles, and different number of arrows available to be laid down. This sorely tests your creativity, and definitely forces you to think out of the box! Thankfully, the game provides answers if you can’t proceed with the game. Of course, using it too often takes away the pleasure of the game, and the point of it in the first place.

Graphics wise, Donald Duck’s Quest 2 does not disappoint, with bright cartoon graphics that is eye catching. Truly, a feast for the eyes. The animation is done almost flawlessly, and everything is just all cute and cuddly. You just can’t help but smile at Donald’s temper tantrum when you fail to solve the puzzle or place the arrows wrongly. Definitely a game worthy of carrying Disney products. The game also sports really cool music as well! The menu music absolutely rocks, and so does the in game music, though the in game music can get a bit repetitive, and perhaps start to even get on your nerves. Perhaps puzzle games are best played quietly, with minimum music.

Nonetheless, after all’s said and done, Donald Duck’s Quest 2 is a game that is an absolute must have for all puzzle game lovers. For those who want to get into in this genre, this would be a good place to start as well, since you can obtain answers if you give up with just a push of a button! This game deserves a high score just for its gameplay alone!
